Mazda has made a surprising announcement on April Fools' Day by introducing a four-seater version of the outgoing MX-5.
While everyone is waiting for the all-new MX-5 to come out, Mazda
decided to breathe life into the outgoing Miata by stretching its
wheelbase in order to make room for two rear doors. Although you now can
take the whole family for a ride, the downside is due to the added
weight the car has probably lost some of its great handling abilities
for which it has become so popular during its 25 years of existence.
Word on the street is that Mazda will introduce the next generation MX-5 in a couple of weeks at the New York Auto Show, possibly on April 16 during the first press day
