Toyota is putting the finishing touches
on the 2015 Prius.
Set to be introduced sometime next year, the redesigned model has a
lot riding on it so it will likely have an evolutionary design like the
rendering. This belief is echoed by previous spy photos which have shown the car will keep its distinctive wedge shape.
Toyota has been tight-lipped about the 2015 Prius but the company has
already confirmed it will be "the first [model] to introduce a
substantially improved family of hybrid powertrains” that deliver
"significantly improved fuel economy in a more compact package that is
lighter in weight and lower in cost."
The company also confirmed the model will ride on the Toyota New
Global Architecture (TNGA) and have improved aerodynamics as well as a
more accommodating cabin with "significant refinements in design, layout
and ease of operation."
