Nissan has released a teaser photo for the second-gen Qashqai which will be revealed in full on November 7.
The Japanese Car Dealer says their new model has been “reinvented from
the ground up” and will “redefine the crossover sector and set new
standards”. From what we know so far, there won’t be a “+2” version
since they’ve already attributed this task to the 2014 X-Trail which will be offered with an optional seven-seat arrangement.
Engine lineup will comprise at least a brand new turbocharged
1.2-liter gasoline DiG-T engine rated at 113 bhp (84 kW) and a 1.5-liter
dCi producing 108 bhp (80 kW). There will also be a larger 1.6-liter
dCi with an output of 128 bhp (95 kW).
The second generation of the Nissan Qashqai will ride on the Common
Module Family architecture co-developed with Renault and is likely to
receive hybrid and/or electric derivatives during its lifespan.
